Goodman nets Brewin Dolphin

30 October 2009

Global property company, Goodman, has let 4,500 sq ft at its Colton Square business space in Leicester to Brewin Dolphin one of the largest independent private investment managers in the UK.

Brewin Dolphin will occupy the first floor of Two Colton Square, in the heart of Leicester’s new Business Quarter. Relocating from Horsefair Street, Brewin Dolphin’s Leicester office is one of 40 regional branches.

The rent agreed will be £16.50 per sq ft from year four, following a free and reduced rent periods. The company is expected to occupy the building later in November, with Colton Square providing workspace for 27 people.

This letting follows the recent completion of a 4,300 sq ft lease to Prospect Leicestershire, the company responsible for creating jobs and driving regeneration and economic growth across the region.  Other key occupiers include the law firm, Freeth Cartwright Cooper Parry.

Situated in the heart of Leicester, the Colton Square redevelopment of the former Charles Street Police Station is a major milestone in the City’s regeneration, blending the former police station with high profile, contemporary Grade A office space.

James Raven, Development Director at developers Goodman, said: "This represents another significant letting for Colton Square, with development rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the leading office locations in the region.  In a challenging market, Goodman continues to provide workspace solutions for businesses of all shapes and sizes, in both the public and sector”.
